Weekend in Brighton 2026: Perfect 2-Day Itinerary

A weekend in Brighton is one of the most enjoyable short breaks you can take in England. In just two days, you can experience the iconic seafront, explore the city’s unique culture, enjoy outstanding food and drink, and create memories that will last a lifetime. Here’s our recommended 2-day Brighton itinerary from West Pier Residence.

Day 1: The Classic Brighton Experience

Morning: Start with a walk along Brighton Beach from Regency Square eastward. Stop for breakfast at one of the seafront cafés before continuing to Brighton Palace Pier for a morning stroll and the classic pier experience.

Afternoon: Head into The Lanes for lunch and afternoon shopping. Explore the narrow alleyways, browse the antique shops and jewellers, and enjoy the unique atmosphere of old Brighton. Visit the Royal Pavilion for a fascinating hour exploring the extraordinary royal palace.

Evening: Return to the seafront for a pre-dinner cocktail at a seafront bar, followed by dinner at The Salt Room or another excellent Brighton restaurant. End the evening with a stroll along the illuminated seafront.

Day 2: Culture and Views

Morning: Begin with the British Airways i360 experience — the views from the top are particularly spectacular on a clear morning. From West Pier Residence, it’s literally a one-minute walk to the i360 entrance.

Afternoon: Explore North Laine for lunch in an independent café and browsing the eclectic independent shops. Visit Brighton Museum & Art Gallery if interested in history and culture.

Evening: End your Brighton weekend with sunset drinks on the seafront, dinner at a favourite restaurant, and perhaps a show at Brighton Dome or a live music venue before heading home refreshed and inspired.
